Electric Fireplace Sizing Guide for a Wall-Mounted TV
Wall-mount, flush, or linear: matching a fireplace to a mounted TV
Putting an electric fireplace under or beside a wall-mounted TV comes down to two decisions: how the unit meets the wall, and how wide it is. Every model here runs on a standard 120V outlet and needs no chimney, gas line or venting. All come from the Amantii and Sierra Flame lines in Wall Mount and Linear / Built-In. Hogarazo is an authorized dealer for both brands.
Wall-mount
A wall-mount fireplace hangs on the wall the same way the TV does, on the included bracket, with no wall opening and no framing. The Amantii Fire & Ice Evolution is the clearest example: a nearly frameless black linear unit that hangs on the included bracket, or recesses fully or partially into a framed opening 5.7 in deep. All four widths measure 19.38 in high and 5.16 in deep.
Flush mount and built-in
Flush mount recesses the fireplace into a framed opening so the glass sits close to the plane of the wall the TV hangs on. The Amantii WM-FM and the Sierra Flame WM-FML-STL each do either job, wall-mount or flush, using their own included brackets, so the install method can be settled after the model is chosen. Both push heat out of a single slot in the face of the surround instead of through a grill: black glass on the WM-FM, charcoal steel on the WM-FML-STL.
The Panorama BI Slim and Panorama BI XtraSlim are built-in units with a full-view trimless design: run finish material right to the glass, or use the black steel surround that comes in the box. Both cascade heat down the angled glass from a top-mounted heater with no visible vents.
Linear
Linear describes the proportion, not the install: a wide, shallow firebox that lines up with a flat-panel TV above it. The Amantii Symmetry Lumina and Symmetry Xtra Tall both run to 100 in, the largest size in the catalog. The Lumina is 6.46 in deep with a clean face and no visible heat vents, and mounts fully recessed or semi-flush in a 2x4 wall, the SYM-XS surround being required for semi-flush. The Xtra Tall is 11.75 in deep with an 18 in tall glass viewing area, hidden venting, and an included black surround that is required as trim.
Sizing width to the TV
Width decides whether the pairing looks intentional. A fireplace noticeably narrower than the TV reads as an afterthought; one much wider overwhelms a wall sized around the screen. Measure the TV's own width, not its diagonal, pick the size closest to or slightly under it, then confirm firebox and rough-opening dimensions on the product page before ordering or framing.
Nominal sizes available:
- Amantii Fire & Ice Evolution: 36, 42, 50 or 60 in
- Sierra Flame WM-FML-STL: 26, 34, 48 or 72 in
- Amantii WM-FM: 26, 34, 50, 60 or 88 in
- Amantii Panorama BI XtraSlim: 30, 40, 50 or 60 in
- Amantii Panorama BI Slim: 40, 50, 60, 72 or 88 in
- Amantii Symmetry Lumina: 34, 42, 50, 60, 74, 88 or 100 in
- Amantii Symmetry Xtra Tall: 34, 42, 50, 60, 74, 88 or 100 in
Two of these publish flush-mount rough openings, both 20 1/2 in tall by 6 1/2 in deep: 27, 35, 49 and 72 1/2 in wide for the WM-FML-STL sizes, and 27, 35, 60 5/8 and 89 1/2 in wide for the WM-FM 26, 34, 60 and 88. The WM-FM 50 is not listed in its current manual.
One model is explicitly rated for this placement. The Amantii Fire & Ice LumaForest, a three-sided built-in offered in 48 and 63 in, is manufacturer-rated for installation beneath a television, with a 7.88 in minimum clearance to a mantel or TV per its manual. For the others, have a qualified installer confirm clearances against the current manual before fixing TV height.
Products that fit under or beside a wall-mounted TV
Depth decides whether the unit hangs on a finished wall or needs a framed cavity. Shallowest first.
| Model | Depth | Widths | Price | Install |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Amantii Panorama BI XtraSlim | 4 in | 30 to 60 in | from $1,499 | Built-in, trimless |
| Amantii Fire & Ice Evolution | 5.16 in | 36 to 60 in | from $999 | Wall-mount, or full or partial recess |
| Sierra Flame WM-FML-STL | 6 1/8 in firebox | 26 to 72 in | from $1,569 | Wall-mount or flush |
| Amantii WM-FM | 6 1/8 in firebox, about 6 3/4 in overall | 26 to 88 in | from $1,679 | Wall-mount or flush |
| Amantii Symmetry Lumina | 6.46 in | 34 to 100 in | from $1,899 | Recessed or semi-flush in a 2x4 wall |
| Amantii Panorama BI Slim | 6.75 in | 40 to 88 in | from $2,199 | Built-in, trimless |
| Amantii Symmetry Xtra Tall | 11.75 in | 34 to 100 in | from $2,099 | Recessed, surround included |
The XtraSlim is only 4 in deep, for walls where depth is at a premium; the Slim is 6 3/4 in deep and described for new construction or renovations.
Power: 120V, and where hardwiring applies
Every model above runs on a standard 120V supply. The Panorama BI Slim and BI XtraSlim both recommend a dedicated 15 A, 120 V circuit, so do not assume these can share a busy one. The WM-FM, WM-FML-STL, both Panoramas and the Symmetry Xtra Tall are listed as hard-wire ready, including thermostat hard-wire. The Fire & Ice Evolution is the exception: plug-in only, with no hardwire or 240 V procedure in its manual.
Some larger units elsewhere in the catalog, the LumaForest among them, can optionally be hardwired to 240V by a licensed electrician for more heat than 120V plug-in mode delivers. Whether that applies depends on the unit, so check the product page and have an electrician confirm before framing in a hardwire connection. On the Panorama and Symmetry models the flame operates with or without heat.
Delivery and next steps
All of these ship LTL freight from the Iowa warehouse with curbside liftgate delivery included to the 48 contiguous states, and the carrier calls to schedule a delivery window. Before framing an opening or committing to a width, pull the firebox and surround dimensions from the product page for the exact size you want, since figures differ across the widths of one model. If you are outfitting more than one property, the trade pricing page covers volume terms, and Shop Pay Installments is available at checkout. Questions on a specific size or install method go through the contact page, and shipping and return terms are on the FAQ.
