Amantii vs Modern Flames electric fireplaces: Orion and Landscape Pro compared

Modern Flames and Amantii both build built-in linear and multi-sided electric fireplaces for the same buyer: someone framing a new wall opening, or replacing an old firebox, who wants a flush finish with real heat. This guide lines up Modern Flames' Orion (Slim and Multi), Landscape Pro (Slim and Multi) and Spectrum Slimline against Amantii's SYMMETRY Bespoke, Panorama BI XtraSlim, TruView Bespoke and TruView XL Deep, using the widths, depths, heat ratings and warranty terms each manufacturer publishes. Hogarazo is an authorized Amantii, Sierra Flame and Orivon dealer and does not sell Modern Flames, so the Orion, Landscape Pro and Spectrum figures below come from the manufacturer's own site.

Widths and depth: how the size ranges compare

Orion Multi comes in 52, 60, 76, 100 and 120 in widths at a cabinet depth of about 9-9/16 in, built for a three-sided bay, corner or fully recessed opening with a minimum 9 in recess. Orion Slim covers 52, 60, 76 and 100 in at a shallower 6-5/16 in, engineered for a 2x6 wall. Landscape Pro Multi runs 44, 56, 68, 80, 96 and 120 in at an 11-9/16 in firebox depth across every size, framed to 12 in, while Landscape Pro Slim covers 44 to 96 in at a 5-3/8 in firebox depth framed to 6 in, also for a 2x6 wall. Spectrum Slimline is the shallowest Modern Flames line, 50, 60, 74 and 100 in wide with a finished opening depth of just 4 in, for a 2x4 wall.

SYMMETRY Bespoke spans 34, 42, 50, 60, 74, 88 and 100 in at a 6-1/2 in cabinet depth, per the 50 in unit's published spec drawing. Panorama BI XtraSlim covers 30, 40, 50 and 60 in at a 4 in depth, the same class as Spectrum Slimline. TruView Bespoke runs 45, 55, 65, 75 and 85 in at a 15 in depth that holds constant across the line, and TruView XL Deep covers 40, 50, 60 and 72 in at a 14-1/4 in depth in its front-only configuration. Amantii's Bespoke lines heat from the front, with no exposed venting or grills, which lets the unit sit recessed or semi-flush without a ducted unit's vent clearance; Modern Flames instead publishes a rough-opening framing table per model and installation type, with recess-depth dimensions spelled out for every width.

Heat output: 120V standard, 240V optional

Orion Multi runs 5,000 to 10,000 BTU on dual 120V/240V wiring, hardwire ready either way. Orion Slim is 5,000 BTU on a standard 120V plug, rated up to 400 sq. ft. Landscape Pro Multi draws 1,500 W (5,000 BTU) on 120V, rated up to 400 sq. ft, or 3,000 W (10,000 BTU) hardwired to 240V, rated up to 800 sq. ft. Landscape Pro Slim and Spectrum Slimline are both 5,000 BTU on a 120V plug, with no 240V option listed.

SYMMETRY Bespoke runs a two-stage 1,500 W high / 750 W low heater on a 120V, 12.5 A circuit, rated for about 400 sq. ft, with no 240V option listed. Panorama BI XtraSlim runs a two-stage 1,465 W high / 750 W low heater on 120V, thermostat hardwire ready, rated for about 400 to 500 sq. ft. TruView Bespoke runs 1,465 W (5,000 BTU) at 120V, rated up to 500 sq. ft, and on the 55, 65, 75 and 85 in sizes can be wired to 220V for 10,000 BTU, rated up to 800 to 1,000 sq. ft; the 45 in size is 120V only. TruView XL Deep runs up to 5,000 BTU at 120V, rated up to 500 sq. ft, with a 240V option on some sizes that amantii.com does not quote in watts.

Flame technology and media

Orion uses what Modern Flames calls multi-dimensional virtual flame technology on an LCD display, with 24 flame options out of the box, three flagship styles plus a customizable fourth, and new styles delivered over the air through the Modern Flames+ app. Landscape Pro Slim and Spectrum Slimline are the lines Modern Flames labels Hybrid-FX. Landscape Pro controls flame, ember bed and downlighting color independently across the full RGB spectrum, while Spectrum Slimline offers 10 independently controlled colors; Landscape Pro and Spectrum Slimline both ship a hand-painted canyon driftwood log set, and Spectrum Slimline offers 10 flame and ember bed colors controlled independently, plus a color auto-cycle setting.

SYMMETRY Bespoke offers adjustable flame brightness and speed, two flame patterns and canopy lighting in 13 colors. TruView Bespoke offers adjustable flame brightness and speed, plus ember bed colors the company describes as auto-mixing through thousands of combinations. TruView XL Deep offers adjustable yellow, orange and red flame colors across two flame patterns with 13-color canopy lighting. Panorama BI XtraSlim keeps the same idea in a shallower cabinet: adjustable yellow, orange and red flame colors that run independent of the heater, two flame pattern styles, and 11 canopy and ember-bed lighting colors.

Controls: remote, thermostat, timer and app

Orion pairs a full-feature remote with the Modern Flames + app, and Landscape Pro pairs a full-feature remote with the Modern Flames app; Landscape Pro's app is listed as Alexa- and Google Home-compatible, and Landscape Pro offers an optional wireless wall thermostat sold separately. Spectrum Slimline uses a six-button touch panel and a separate remote, with variable heat, a thermostat readout and a timer; the materials we reviewed do not list app or WiFi control for this line, unlike Orion and Landscape Pro.

SYMMETRY Bespoke and TruView Bespoke both pair a patented thermostatic remote with a WiFi app, a programmable timer (30 minutes to 8 hours on SYMMETRY, plus 7-day scheduling), and Bluetooth speaker pairing; TruView Bespoke adds room-temperature control from 59°F to 82°F. TruView XL Deep uses a WiFi app, a touch pad with a temperature display and a three-speed flame motor. Panorama BI XtraSlim ships with a single remote for flame and heater, and Hogarazo's own listing marks it WiFi-enabled.

Multi-sided and see-through configurations

Orion Multi and Landscape Pro Multi both offer single-sided, left-corner, right-corner and three-sided bay configurations from the same chassis, plus a wall-mount option using a mantel suite sold separately; Orion Multi carries a deeper firebox than Orion Slim to accommodate its full-sized lit log set. Amantii's answer is TruView Bespoke and TruView XL Deep, both three-sided see-through units. Amantii describes TruView Bespoke as modular, with the joining plates included, so multiple units can combine for a longer run; TruView XL Deep instead ships end panels for three-sided, two-sided or front-facing installation. Our guide to see-through and three-sided electric fireplaces covers what changes about framing and heat on a unit open on more than one face, and our guide to linear widths covers matching a width to a wall.

Side-by-side comparison

Warranty and where each is sold

Modern Flames states a 5-year warranty for the Orion V2 series in its Orion V2 series catalog. We did not find a stated term for Landscape Pro or Spectrum Slimline, so check modernflames.com for the current term on those lines, and for current pricing, since Modern Flames is sold through dealers. Amantii backs SYMMETRY Bespoke and TruView Bespoke with a 5-year parts warranty, and Panorama BI XtraSlim and TruView XL Deep with a 2-year warranty, matching the terms Hogarazo states on every Amantii unit it sells. Hogarazo handles warranty claims with the manufacturer and stays the single point of contact. Amantii and Sierra Flame units ship from the Amantii warehouse in Iowa, with 2 to 3 business day handling and curbside liftgate delivery included; in-stock units typically reach the curb 5 to 10 business days after ordering, anywhere in the 48 contiguous states.

Who each brand suits

Modern Flames' catalog reaches wider in a single line (Orion Multi and Landscape Pro Multi both run to 120 in, against 100 in on SYMMETRY Bespoke) and a depth range from the 4 in Spectrum Slimline finished opening to the 11-9/16 in Landscape Pro Multi firebox, plus a 240V path to 10,000 BTU on Orion and Landscape Pro Multi for a larger room. Its flame technology, Orion's LCD system or the Hybrid-FX system on Landscape Pro and Spectrum, leans toward color customization and app-driven updates over time.

Amantii's strength is depth consistency and installation simplicity. SYMMETRY Bespoke and TruView Bespoke hold the same cabinet depth across every width in the line, and the front-heat design, with no exposed venting, means the rough opening is mostly a question of matching the cabinet's footprint rather than routing exhaust. The 5-year warranty on both Bespoke lines matches the 5-year term Modern Flames states for the Orion V2 series, and Amantii states a term for every line above. If width choice within one model number matters most, compare Modern Flames' range directly against Amantii's; if a consistent cabinet depth and a published warranty term on every line matter more, look closest at Amantii's Bespoke lines.
